Build Business Relationships
Building business relationships while having fun and supporting a good cause is a great combination. What happens when you take a board room of busy executives, their key vendors or partners and send them to a beautiful place with their families? The casual conversation becomes an important relationship and the support of Special Olympics becomes a common denominator. A return on this investment is real on many fronts, and that’s why so many companies come back year after year.
California Police Youth Charities incorporated as a non-profit organization in June of 2002. Since that time, we have grown rapidly and consistently to a point where we feel we are making some real positive changes in the lives of kids throughout California. We have associated ourselves with organizations such as the Oakland Raiders of the National Football League, the Oakland A's of Major League Baseball and the California Narcotics Officers Association in an effort to provide kids with a chance to be kids. We want to bridge a gap that exists between police officers and kids within many of our communities. This is done by offering productive and fun activities run by positive role models and but also making sure that a message is sent to these kids that drugs, alcohol and gang violence are not the answers to daily problems within their young lives. We stress education, respect for others and tolerance among our fellow human beings. Through many of CPYC's programs, we bring in professional athletes and uniformed police officers to speak to kids about these very issues.
