Winners and Results

It was a tough field with serious competitors. Some wore funny hats, others wore ski bibs and then, there was the guy who wore a ladies one piece Speedo for minimal air drag and maximum speed. Despite the field, the falls and the laughs, there were winners.

The Official Rules:

  • Each team races a modified Giant Slalom course with a minimum of 10 gates, pending on weather and conditions.
  • Each team will ski two runs, one on each course (one on the red course and one on the blue course).
  • Each racer will race against a racer from another team.
  • Each team has a Special Olympics athlete and a Celebrity


Calculating Times and Results:
  • The top (fastest) eight times will be calculated for each of the runs, with a combined time for the two runs used to determine the final four teams.
  • The finals will consist of one run for each of the final four teams.
  • The placement of teams is determined in the preliminaries.


The Finals:
First run: 2nd place vs. 3rd place
Second run: 1st place vs. 4th place

Note: The higher seed will choose which course they want to race.
 Final placement will be determined on the top 8 times of each team in the final run.
